Luzhou Laojiao is one of China’s three most valuable brands, considered a quality leader in strong aroma baijiu while leading in terms of volume . The city of Luzhou has been a national winemaking hub for more than 2000 years, and the Luzhou Laojiao distillery – one of the four oldest in China – originated during the Ming Dynasty, in 1573. 瀘州老窖酒是中國濃香型白酒的代表，其相關釀造技藝的產生、傳承、發展均在四川省南部的瀘州市。瀘州老窖窖池群中四口位於城區有四百餘年歷史的老窖池已被國務院列為國家級重點文物保護單位。其餘一千餘口分佈於城區及周邊縣的百年以上的老窖池皆為瀘州老窖灑釀造技藝傳承、發展的根基。
