Casado (Portuguese for marriage) is matured in fresh bourbon barrels for 6 years before 38 casks were married together for 2 years in two 6,000 litre Portuguese red wine vats.
Aroma: First smoky, balanced with ripe stone fruits: peaches, plums and cherries.
Palate: First taste of pepper and spice. Dry salty peat smoke with apricot and lemon.
Finish: A long, spicy finish, with cooked fruit flavors balancing sweet jam and Kilchoman smoke.
