Description:

Juan Gil Blue Label 2021

Juan Gil Blue Label 2021 is a testament to the artistry of winemaking, crafted from meticulously selected old Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah vines grown at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. These low-yielding vineyards produce grapes of exceptional concentration and complexity.

The grapes undergo maceration and fermentation in small stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by malolactic fermentation and 18 months of aging in a curated selection of new French and American oak barrels. This process yields a red wine of remarkable depth, elegance, and structure.

The wine boasts a rich red cherry color with a garnet rim, and a powerful aroma of black fruits complemented by roasted and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is complex and well-structured, with a pleasant, unctuous mouthfeel and persistent flavors of roasted cocoa and spice. The noble tannins from the very ripe fruits lend a sweetness that balances harmoniously with the wine's other elements, culminating in a tasty, long, and elegant finish. This wine has excellent potential for bottle aging.

Juan Gil Blue Label 2021 pairs perfectly with a wide range of dishes, including game meat, creamy rice dishes, stewed vegetables, mushrooms, poultry, casseroles, fish and seafood with sauce, smoked, blue, and cured cheeses, as well as grilled or barbecued white and red meats, roast lamb, pork, or beef.
