Dr. Wehrheim has been a successful family story since 4 generations. Karl-Heinz Wehrheim has been leading this winery since 1992 and his entire family is supporting him ever since. As evidence of his talent and the impeccable quality of his wines, the winery is part of the VDP Association. Founded in 1910, the VDP is the Association of German Quality and Pradikat Wine Estates whose members are only the most prestigious German winemakers. This is the guarantee that Dr. Wehreim wines belong to the highest category of quality produced in Germany. Along the years, the winery received several prestigious rewards for its Pinot Blanc and Riesling, as well as for its outstanding Pinot Noir. In 2003, it has logically been voted “Aufsteiger” Rising Star Winery by Gault & Millau, and ranked a 4 out of 5 star estate by Germany’s top wine critic, Gerhard Eichelmann.
