Domaine Henri Rebourseau
Jacques Rebourseau is a respected winemaker of Lugny. His son Claude Rebourseau moved to La Roche Vanneau in 1782. Simple and attentive producers, they are part of this rural and working class attached to viticulture. They pass on their passion to their children, including Jean-Baptiste Rebourseau. Born in 1839, Jean-Baptiste Rebourseau married in 1861 Louise-Victoire Philippon to Gevrey. It brings together several parcels, including Grands Crus from Gevrey-Chambertin, which have remained in the family since that date. He passes on the estate to his two sons, Émile and Henri. General Henri Rebourseau is the son of Jean-Baptiste Rebourseau. While he is mobilized on the front during the great war, his brother Émile Rebourseau takes care of the Domain. In 1919, the General returned to Gevrey where he settled in the house of Brunelle, property built in the middle of the 18th century. Charismatic personality, he created in 1929 the defense union of Chambertin which he held the presidency for many years.
