Description:
Of a deep and shiny ruby red colour with shades of garnet, this wine shows very intense and complex on the nose where hints of this wine's stay in oak stand out (coffee, spices, leather, toastiness) well integrated with stewed fruit and nuts. The first impressions on the palate are mellow, evolving towards a powerful and structured finish with a long aftertaste. Tannins show sweet, restrained and very well integrated in the wine's structure. It is a wine with a great ageing potential in bottle. Perfect to pair with red meats, aged cheese and fatty fish.

CVNE has also won many awards at international expositions, eversince 1880s. Its Imperial Gran Reserva 2004 was the rst and only Spanish wine to be named #1 Top 100 Wines by Wine Spectator in 2013. You will see the ag of Spain. It has been there, by royal consent, since the 19th century. Since its inception, CVNE has been focused on the production and aging of wines and now owns four uniques wineries across Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa: Cune, Imperial, Vina Real and Contino.
