Intense ruby red color. The nose is rich and enticing with black and red berry fruit and liquorice notes. The palate is generously fruity with toasty oak, supple tannins and savoury balsamic nuances and a long finish.

CVNE has been chosen among 100 best wineries in the world, according to the ranking of the American Wine & Spirits Magazine. CVNE has also won many awards at international expositions, eversince 1880s. Its Imperial Gran Reserva 2004 was the rst and only Spanish wine to be named #1 Top 100 Wines by Wine Spectator in 2013. CVNE stands for "Wine Company from the North of Spain". The company was founded in 1879 in the town of Haro in Rioja, by the Real de Asua brothers. To this day it is owned, controlled and managed by the same family, currently in its fth generation. On CVNE's wines you will not find an aristocratic crest or a family shield. You will see the ag of Spain. It has been there, by royal consent, since the 19th century. Since its inception, CVNE has been focused on the production and aging of wines and now owns four uniques wineries across Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa: Cune, Imperial, Vina Real and Contino.
