Description:
A warm and early vintage. Hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed. 25% fermented in French oak barriques and the rest in stainless steel. Dry-tasting at RS 2.7 g/l. Nettley and just lightly floral, with a dry stony texture. Fine citrus freshness, really very elegant. Limey freshness and stony/mineral quality on the finish. On the delicate side overall but persistent, the oak completely and nicely in the background. Julia Harding MW
Winery:
Craggy Range
Craggy range began with the desire to create a legacy when Terry Peabody visited New Zealand in 1997. Terry sensed an exciting possibility in New Zealand, the exceptional climate and spirit of the people aligned with his own philosophy and desire to cut a new path. He wanted to create wines that would become internationally regarded as New World classics. Today Craggy Range is without a doubt one of the most prestigious wineries from New Zealand, and well-reputed for its high quality wines, it surely does not come to a surprise that Craggy Range was crowned ‘New World Winery of the Year 2014’ by the Wine Enthusiast.
