Chateau Nine Peaks was founded by Dr. Karl Heinz Hauptmann in 2008 in the very heart of Shandong Peninsula. The land truly is a piece of treasure with the perfect interaction of soil, territory and climate. The Vineyard consists of 150 hectares of rolling hills and terraces, where each grape variety was carefully selected and imported from France. 25 years-experienced French winemaker, Marc Dworkin, is dedicated to make excellent Chinese wines by using only the most modern and sophisticated winemaking techniques from France. Among the 4 leading Chinese Wineries, Chateau Nine Peaks is the only estate representing Shandong during in the 2014 Decanter Shanghai Fine Wine Encounter, as well as the only winery from Shandong that was selected into Bettane + Desseauve Yearly Wine Guide 2016.
