Nicola Manferrari, owner and winemaker, has a degree in Pharmacology but when the father passed away in 1981 he decided to take over the estate and change his life becoming a winemaker. Borgo del Tiglio is today considered one of the top estate producing white wines from Italy, their wines are famous not only for their quality but also for their long longevity.
Wine Making:
Like in Burgundy the wine is aged in new French barriques from 9 to 14 months. Only 30hl of this precious ‘liquid’ are produced every year.
