Black Stallion Winery is a Californian estate in the Oak Knoll District sub-region of Napa Valley. It is best known for its Cabernet Sauvignon but has a catalogue with a range of other popular grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. The iconic winery was constructed in 2007, marking the brand's beginning. Black Stallion is lcoated at the historic Silverado equestrian Center, an indoor and outdoor horse track and breeding facility established on the Silverardo Trail. The history of the property provides Black Stallion its name, and some of the structures of the equestrian grounds were incorporated into the winery, which was built inside the indoor track. The Black Stallion estate covers 13 hectares (32 acres) with a little more than 3ha (7 acres) under vine. The majority of the vineyards are given to Cabernet Sauvignon but a further 3-ha expansion will be planted with Merlot, Malbec and Syrah. The estate also produces white wines from grapes such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
