Marlborough Pinot Gris has experienced a surge in popularity over the past few years, quickly becoming a staple in the Allan Scott Family Winemakers range.

The 2022 grape growing season was a completely new "normal" for many Marlborough vineyards. Despite the challenges of steady and sometimes heavy rainfall throughout the season, the winery team drew upon their years of accumulated cultivation experience and exceptional skill to ensure the grapes grew to a high standard. The winery's meticulous vineyard management and nearly daily fruit assessments allowed the grapes to fully realize their potential. You can expect this wine to exhibit all the beloved aromas and flavors that Marlborough wines are known for.

During the winemaking process, machine harvesting was used to break up the grapes, helping to maximize extraction from the fruit. The juice was then cool-fermented to retain fruit characters before being conditioned prior to bottling.

This Pinot Gris underwent a brief period of skin contact to enhance color and flavor. It is a delicately luscious wine with notes of pear, apple, and subtle floral and honeysuckle flavors. This smooth-textured wine is flawlessly delicious on its own.
