Wine Spectator.com（WS）是從 1996 年開始的 ，是葡萄酒最權威的消息來源之一，和Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast 及Wine & Spirits 的分數屬最常被參考的評價來源。資深編輯群以美國人為主，有超過 25 萬款酒的評分、評論、新聞等等獨家內容。每年年底葡萄酒的大新聞，就是 最讓人引頸期待的Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines (年度百大風雲酒款）。

1998 年開始 WS 每年選出令人興奮的 100 款酒，由眾多編輯各自負責不同的產區，進行公正、嚴縝的試飲後，給予相對應的分數。資深編輯們會從評過分數的上萬瓶酒款中，依照分數、超值度、購買難易度以及個人喜好等標準來挑出100款酒，進而給名次。也就是說即使得到滿分，如果產量過少導致消費者買不到、或是與實際的價格不相符，都無法進入年度百大的行列！ 換句話說，Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines 代表者酒款品質穩定、風味傑出、價格合理，難怪從商家到消費者，都依循著這份名單來挑選。
